Tag Birthday Card

This one came out so pretty, but the colors don't show up true in the photos even though I made myself a same "photo box" out of cardstock.  The photo or light box does help a lot with shadows and brighting things up.
This card was created following a sketch this week on the Cricut message board, I love the inspiration sketches give me, in fact I find it hard to make a card without one.
The background paper is from a K & Company stack and I just happen to have a pad of K & Company tags that matches the paper.  The border across the bottom I made using the Art Philosophy cartridge from CTMH using Cricut Craft Room I welded a couple of the borders together then copy, paste and flip to make it a double sided border, then I created a shadow to go behind it.
Using the tag and papers made this card pretty quick and simple to make.  I added a lace like bow I had to the top of the tag and a string of pearls across the bottom.
I used a border Cuttlebug folder on the border then stamped happy birthday with a Gina K stamp.
Well thank you for finding your way to my blog, would love to hear your comments

42nd Anniversary Card

My brother-in-law and his wife celebrated their 42nd anniversary in early March (little behind on posting) this is the card I created for them.
The background paper is from DCWV Natural stack, then I embossed a copper shimmery paper with a Darci tree embossing folder that I got from Consumer Crafts.  They have a very nice variety of folders and most are just $3, plus Consumer Crafts is great to order from.  I then cut the copper paper into 1 1/2 inch squares and mounted them onto black paper.  The branch in the corner is cut from Stretch Your Imagination.
I added a few pearls to the branch and then stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with black.  The bottom black border was cut using Elegant Edges.

Thanks for stopping by, would love to hear what you think of my card.  I love reading your comments and really appreciate them.

Delivery Birthday wishes

Hi, I made this card for my nephews birthday and he has a tan colored dog so it fit perfectly.  The doggie is a Just Some Lines digital image that I got while I was playing along in the CDAC Progressive Challenge.  I colored him using my Copics, still working on the shading thing but think I am getting there.
I added a bit of scribbling to the newspaper to make it look a bit real.  The sentiment is computer generated.
Then the inside I finished off simply using paper from the same paper stack
This sentiment is also computer generated.  Well I hope you like my doggie card, I think it came out cute.

CTMH Sympathy card

Hello everyone, boy I am so far behind on posting on my blog.  Life has just been crazy around here, I do manage to get a card done here and then but just haven't posted them on my blog.
So here is a card I made using some of the papers that I got in my Close to my Heart consultant kit.  I got the Pemberley Workshop on the go kit as an add on and I love the papers, inks and stamps that came in this kit.
The stamp is one of the stamps that come in the Pemberley Workshop kit.  I stamped it tone on tone with the Indian Corn blue ink pad then hand cut it out. I stamped and cut it twice so I could pop dot it to give it some dimension.  All the papers are from the Pemberly Kit, love the blues and browns.  I cut the bottom border using the Elegant Edges cartridge then covered it with Crackle Accents.   The "with sympathy" I cut using the Jasmine cartridge.  It is always nice to have a few sympathy cards on hand because it seems so hard to make them when you actually need them.
Here is a closer look at the border cut.
I added a few red pearls to the center of the flower images on the border.

Thanks so much for stopping by and remember there is just a few days left to get in on the CTMH promotion this month where you get the Art Philosophy cartridge for free.  It is such an amazing cartridge and has no many different cuts on it.  For the month of March if you sign up as a consultant for get the consultant kit for $99 and the Art Philosophy cartridge pack for FREE not only do you get the cartridge but you also get 3 sets of coordinating stamps, it is a great deal almost $300 worth of products for $99.  The sweet part of this is that you are not pressured to sell anything you can just sign up to get the deal for yourself and not have to keep up a quota.  If you are still on the fence about getting this cartridge now is the time to go for it, you will not be disappointed, the consultant kit is AWESOME, it is like Christmas when you open your box.  Check out all you get in your kit HERE.

Yet another Navy Card

Hi I bet you are all getting tired of me posting Navy cards, LOL.  Well I actually have two grandsons starting their careers in the Navy, one is just finishing his Submarine schooling as a Sonar Tech and the other just graduating his Boot Camp training the end of this month.  This grandson will also go into submarine service.  This card is for the grandson graduating boot camp.  This card went together pretty fast.
I made this card following the sketch this week at The Sweet Stop challenge.  The paper are all from a DCWV American stack.  There is not a whole bunch of Cricut on this card.  I did cut a circle to put behind the US Navy sticker, then the border of gold stars Stand & Salute.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Note for you..........

Hello everyone so glad you found your way over to take a peek at what I created today.  Well I am sure you have all heard of the buzz going on lately about getting the Cricut Art Philosophy package free when you sign up as a Close to my Heart consultant, if you have been wanting that cartridge let me tell you now is the time to do, it is one fabulous deal.  If you want to sign up check out My CTMH website or just click HERE and go directly to the application.   I was so thrilled and surprised at all the goodies that came in my kit.
Well when I ordered my kit I also order the Pemberley Workshop on the Go add on, WOW I really love the papers and colors that come in this kit so I chose the papers from there to make my first CTMH card.
Isn't it just pretty!  I am so pleased with the way it came out and using the papers from Pemberley Kit made it so so easy.  The Art Philosophy cartridge has the entire cut for the base of the card even with the window cut out from the center.  The paper is double sided so with plain beige color on the inside it make it easy to have a unprinted inside.  I cut the flowers from the Art Philosophy cartridge as well and stamped them with a flower from one of the stamp sets that came in the Workshop with my Desert Sand and Cornflower blue ink pads, then sprayed them with Glimmer Mist and crumpled them up and added pearl to the center.  The butterfly was also cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge, I am telling you there are some awesome cuts on this cartridge, if you get this deal just for the cartridge it is well worth it.  It was cut in two layers and I added some pearls to the center/body. The only cut not from the Art Philosophy cartridge are the swirls they were cut from Straight From the Nest.
Here is a closer look.
I stamped the "A note for you" a stamp from the Just A Note stamp set so it would show through the window.
Hee is a look at the inside.
I added a few extra butterflies and branches to decorate the inside.  The here is how the inside of the front panel looks.
So there it is my first CTMH card using the FREE Art Philosophy cartridge you get for signing up as a consultant.  I also have to mention that CTMH stamps are some of the best quality clear acrylic stamps I have ever used, you would think that a acrylic block is just a block but the CTMH ones are over the top nice to use.
The nice thing about this promotion is you can do it just to get the kit and cartridge and if you don't sell $300 in 3 months then you just lose your senior consultant status and if you do sell well that is a bonus.  If you do keep up they $300 a quarter in sales your discount/commission is 22%, if not it drops to 10%, but there is no pressure.

Thanks for stopping by.

Officially a Sonar Tech..................

..................in the U.S. Navy.  My grandson told us he passed his exam and he is officially a Sonar Tech, I am so proud of him and very excited.  So to celebrate this great achievement I made him this card.
"Hooyah" is the Navy or shout when good things happen, so I used the letter in the Art Philosophy cartridge and welded them in the Cricut Craft Room program.  All the cuts on this card are from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I love this cartridge, there seems to be a cut for most everything. And the best part is (if you haven't heard already) you can get it free for signing up as a Close to my Heart consultant this month.  It is an amazing offer for $99 you get the consultant kit, which is packed with goodies, and the Art Philosophy package for free which contains the cartridge and three coordinating stamp sets. If you want to check it out click HERE.  Or if you want to sign up here is the application form.  Sorry got side tracked, ha ha, back to the card.
I made this card following the sketch this week at Mojo Monday you still have time to play along and since it is the 1st challenge of the month there will be prizes.  The sketch seemed to fit perfectly into the theme I wanted, using some Navy papers that I recently bought it all came together pretty well.  The Art Philosophy cartridge even had the half circle cut on it and the red & white star banner cut.
Here is a little closer look at the bottom of the card.  The submarine and the "NAVY"  are stickers, and I had the stared ribbon to match.  All and all the card came together very well.
I computer generated a verse for the inside.
His next big challenge will be to earn his Dolphin pin while he is learning and working on the submarine.
Thank you so much for stopping by, please leave me a comment to let me know you were here.

Colorful Birthday cards

Hi everyone, glad you stopped by.  I have a couple of cards today that have similar colors in them so I thought I would post them together.
The first one has a paisley cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and the oval from Plantin Schoolbook.
Both cards were made following a sketch last week on RAQs Challenge on the Cricut message board and also a color challenge.
I thought the paisley matched the paisley on the background paper.  After putting all the layers together on the paisley I covered it with Crackle Accents.
For the next one I used a lot so glitter paper.
I embossed and sanded the green paper with the Spots & Dots embossing folder to march the spots on the background paper.   I stamped the happy birthday on white glitter tags I cut out using Calligraphy Collection and added a piece of ribbon.  The star with the tail is cut from the Home Accents cartridge.
I finished the inside using the same paper and stamped a sentiment from a new set of stamps I got from Clear Dollar Stamps. they are having a huge sale.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget the special that is going on a Close to My Heart where if you sign up as a consultant you get the Art Philosophy cartridge for free, so for $99 you get the consultant kit packed with tons of goodies and the Art Philosophy cartridge with 3 matching stamps sets if you have been wanting this cartridge this deal is the way to get it.  Check out my post HERE if you are interested or want to read more about it.
