Birthday Card & Memory Box

Well after 3 weeks I am finally back to post another project, it just seems to be so hard to get here lately and put up a post, I guess life got in the way.
My daughter's birthday was last Sunday so here is a card I made for her.
I tried to go with a Vintage look because likes that kind of stuff.  The paper is from a K&Company paper stack, then I added a stick pin I received from a swap I was in this past summer, I think it fit perfectly into the design.
Then I also made a matching "memory box" for her.  This is my first time making something like this, but overall I am pretty thrilled with out it turned out.
Here is a side view.
I covered it with the same paper as the card using decoupage .
This was a small round balsa wood box that I received years ago with candy or something in it.  I glued lace around the top edge of the lid and then around the bottom of the box.
On the top I printed a picture of her granddaughter in the sepia color then torn the edges and burnt them a bit.  I spread decoupage over the picture, then added some pearl swirls and a small angel.
You can see the angel a little better in this picture.  The large flower I made, but the others I had so I just sprayed the all with Glimmer Mist in a color I thought would go well and carry out the vintage look.
I gave this to my daughter on Sunday and she loved it.  She said she was going to put it on her desk at work.
Now let me tell you, this little one is quite the handful and is no angel, this was a rare somber photo of her but it fit my design perfectly.
I am so glad you stopped by today to take a peak at my blog, I really would love to hear what you think of my first memory box.  I enjoyed making it so I am sure I will be making more.
Thanks again for stopping in.

Clementine Paper Pack

Wow, I sure have not been very good at keeping up with my blog lately.  I have been creating just life got in the way of posting, so I will try and get some of the cards posted that I have created over the past few weeks.

I love the papers in the CTMH Clementine paper pack, the CTMH papers
make putting a card together so easy because all the papers coordinate so well.
All the papers on this card are from the Clementine pack and the cuts are made using Art Philosophy.  The flower is a canvas sticker from the Clementine Canvas Shapes pack.

Well thanks for stopping by and hope you like my card.  I will try and get another post up in the next couple of days
